|
ROLE PURPOSE: The position holder will be responsible to coordinate effective strategic and annual planning in accordance with the global strategy and Save the Childrens vision, mission and values. He / She will also be responsible to coordinate development of high profile proposals in close coordination with thematic heads in programme development and quality department. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Senior Manager Strategic Planning & Proposal Development Dimensions: Save the Children works in over 57 districts in Pakistan with a current staff complement of approximately 2,500 staff and current expenditure of over $150 million each year. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 1. Strategic Planning
- Develop TORs of rolling out strategic planning process including cost / business plan
- Develop tools and processes for carrying out strategic planning workshops
- Support thematic programmes to develop their vision, mission and strategies
- Design planning workshops and organize with each thematic Program separately
- Compile and draft country strategic plan and annual plans
- Support thematic programs in timely responding the comments / queries
- Carrying out other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor time to time2. Proposal Development
- Carry out consultations with thematic programs and regularly update donors mapping in line with the organizations strategic plan and thematic program plans
- Coordinate process of developing Save the Childrens fund raising and resource mobilization strategy
- Maintain updated donors profile matrix
- Coordinate with thematic sections and support department to generate and plan new ideas and develop high quality proposals as per donor formats and requirements
- Review and develop concepts flowing in from other internal departments.
- Maintain an updated donor database, monitor funding cycle of different donors, manage donor packs, formats, templates and tools etc.ï· Administer Save the childrens standard checklist for development of proposal and coordinate proposal development through defined channels
- Regularly maintain and update standard opportunity tracking matrix
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Postgraduate / Masters Degree holder in social development or related discipline
- 03+years coordination experience in the related discipline
- Experience of working with INGOs/donor agencies/UN will be preferable
- Demonstrated ability of designing and developing international, regional and national-level development projects
- Knowledge/experience of implementing project development tools and frameworks
- Ability to develop LFAs and project specific budgets and work plans
- Strong oral and written English communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Organization skills in terms of people and work
- Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
- Result-oriented team player
- Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
