Job Description
- To supervise and provide technical support to the Child Protection Project Officers/Supervisors within his/her district
- To provide support and orientation for Child Protection Project Officers/ Supervisors and Child Protection Community Mobilizers/Facilitators on setting up and managing a Child Protection Centre, child rights, child participation, child protection (including the Child Protection Policy), community participation and provide ongoing support and mentoring to practice these concepts
- To make sure that safeguarding standards are understood and met
- To ensure all documents related to CP activities are in use at field level, timely updated and that deadlines for submissions are met by POs
- To compile quantitative and qualitative updated data and reports on a weekly basis for submission to Child Protection Manager
- In coordination with the Child Protection team members, will support regular participatory activities with different groups of children to identify issues affecting children in their communities, and assist the teams to develop appropriate responses
- To report general protection issues present in the operational areas to the Child Protection Manager
- To ensure effective links are developed with the camp services and/or other emergency initiatives
- To participate in the Child Protection assessment and analysis process as well as training events a required by line manager
- To work with the community and/or camp authorities to address protection issues
- To communicate and share learning with other Child Protection Coordinators involved in the emergency response
- To ensure referral systems (health, education, psychosocial, income generation, food security, etc.) are identified as appropriate
- To advocate when necessary to ensure that other international and local service providers in the area act on behalf of children affected by the emergency in relation to the Child Friendly Spaces
- To screen for and monitor protection needs and gaps in and around the Child Friendly Spaces
- To identify and report any training need
Requirements
- Education Graduate.
- Total Work Experience (In Yrs) 2-3 Years.
- Sector Experience (In Yrs) 2 Years.
- Skills related to communication and interpersonal, computer literature.
- Pushto is a must
