· Co-ordinate with FPM, SM, DRR, Project Staff and other Project Coordinators for effective implementation of the project activities ensuring clear guidance and standards for all program staff are in compliance with all agreements and the project proposal · Train Project Staff ( CP, Education< FSL) on Disaster Preparedness, Response, Disaster Mitigation · Organize Broad Based Communities meetings and community dialogues in coordination with Cp and Education team on DRR and how to involve children in those activities · Identification and formation of CC-DRR committees, Conduct training of Committees on CCDRR and support them in developing CCDRR plan including Hazard Mapping · Facilitate and support committees in identification and implementation of small- scale risk mitigation projects · Organize workshop for Cluster/ working group member on DRR · Organize interactive session and sessions among Disaster management Authorities and Children · Map out current stakeholders and duty bearers engagement of DRR at the district level; · Develop work plan, budget plan (Monthly Financial Projection) and effective monitoring of all activities; · Submit operational plans on weekly and monthly basis, review activities periodically, to ensure that project expenditures are used within limits and guidelines approved by program manager; · Develop, maintain and improve work coordination with local key partners (community, NGO, international bodies), to ensure the successful implementation the successful implementation of the project activities; · Develop progress reports periodically to line manager to line manager, in order to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information; · Ensure implementation of DRR activities as per design and timeline; · Any other task assigned by the superior. Requirements · Master’s Degree in social sciences · 3-4 years of project management, implementation experience with at least 2 years in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management experience preferably with INGOs · Strong in using PRA tools for conducting HVCA · Good presentation skills · Excellent writing and documentation skills · Ability to work under pressure and adjust to difficult living and working condition · Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills · Good stress management skills · Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage Save the Children believes in equal opportunities for all.
