Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE:

The overall objective of this position is to lead district IMNCH team and assist the Provincial Project Manager IMNCH and IMNCH Coordinator in the preparation of DIP, Work plan and reports. Also develop and implement capacity building and community mobilization strategies and to coordinate with Department of Health, Population Welfare and all IMNCH partners.

  • Ensure appropriate packing and loading of materials and supplies for dispatch and supervise material loading and unloading
  • Ensure that local, national and international procurement practices are in line with MNCH budget and needs and compliment with Save the Children and donor requirements;
  • Plan reliable, cost-effective and timely transportation of supplies to field areas and community sites;
  • Track and confirm delivery of goods to their final destination;
  • Liaise closely with MNCH team for distribution planning and coordinate transportation, loading & unloading of material and supplies in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Monitor the asset register and ensure that all assets are logged and issued with a unique asset number;
  • Monitor stock levels and advise on appropriate stocking and replenishment to meet project demands;
  • Ensure all items are stored in the appropriate manner, with easy access and have an updated stock card/Bin card including minimum reorder level
  • Maintain a complete filing system to include all documentation e.g. inventories, way bills, packing lists, distribution reports etc

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A graduate degree in business, or related field;
  • Demonstrated 3 years of overall experience; and a minimum of 1 year experience in Pharmacy & LMIS
  • Demonstrated experience in budget, logistics and operations planning
  • Experience in distributions of NFIs, Health and Food items
  • Experience of implementing stock management policies, systems and procedures.
  • Experience in logistics management, IT & Operational Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skill
