Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assist Senior Security Coordinator in having security plans/annexes/appendices updated and maintained.
  • To report incidents on a timely basis.
  • To give security briefings and share security alerts and updates by e-mail, SMS and phone.
  • To inform staff members of security precautions to be taken during fields visits and official travel.
  • Attend security meetings as and when required, brief on current security situation and plan.
  • Orient staff on evacuation plans, drills and procedures regarding emergencies.
  • In consultation with department heads appoint security wardens to guide department staff on security procedures in case of an emergency.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate degree.
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years of overall experience; and a minimum of 3 years specific development sector experience.
  • Excellent Computer Knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active, persuasive and ability to handle pressure and work under stress
  • Demonstrated ability to work in insecure environments
