Server4Sale is seeking a professional Technical Support with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. You must have a working knowledge of common services and applications such as Apache Web Server, MySQL Database Server, FTP Server and DNS Server. Basic Knowledge of Network which includes but not limited to OSI Layer, TCP/IP, Different Protocols e.g. ICMP, SMTP, TCP, UDP, POP3. Experience & Special Skills: - Knowledge and Experience in administering Unix/Linux Operating Systems such as Red Hat, HP-UX, and SunSolaris.
- Web Hosting server management using cPanel and Plesk installed on Red Hat Enterprise Servers.
- Knowledge of Bind, DHCP, and Apache server administration would be an advantage.
- Clustering and High Availability Solutions.
- Shell scripting on various diverseplatforms for Administrative tasks.
- Installation, maintenance and supportof various flavors of Linux and Unix Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Database administration,support for Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages,shell scripting would be an advantage.
- TCP/IP, Internet technology, standards and routing protocols.
- Systems security and Authentication.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server,Active Directory and LDAP Authentication.
- Patch Management Systems.
- Desktop Operating Systems and Applications for PC and Laptops Systems.
- Anti Virus/Anti-Spy ware and Anti-Spam Solutions.
- Help Desk Operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Linux (primarily Debian, Red Hat,CentOS, and FreeBSD) systems administration skills
- Apache configuration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of most common protocols such as HTTP, FTP, DNS, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and self motivation skills are required.
- Good communication skills are required, both written and oral.
- Basic networking knowledge covering CIDR, trace route, ping, and the basics of TCP/UDP.
- Hardware experiences and also have the experience working in 24/7 operational environments.
- Experience in identifying and tuning application bottlenecks
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple workloads
- Strong diagnostic skills, evaluating problems one component at a time.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain various flavors of Linux andFreeBSD
- Experience building kernels from source, configuring device drivers,building packages from source, and installing pre-built packages.
- PXE network booting
- Knowledge of various web acceleration technologies such as nginx, lighttpd, varnish and haproxy.
- Advanced shell scripting, we utilize various in-house tools to automate a great deal of work.
- Linux and/or Cisco firewall basics
- Experience with Nagios, Splunk, Zabbixor other system/device monitoring tools.
- Solid knowledge of LAMP Architectures(Perl/PHP/Phython).
