Role and Responsibilities:

To ensure the development and execution of retail marketing plans and programs that meet consumer needs and build brand equity while delivering significant, sustainable growth and profitability. To ensure compliance in all areas of marketing activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of Store Managers, while managing within agreed budgets.

Key Result Areas:

1. To pro-actively contribute to the formulation and direction of the retail strategy and implement projects and trials for the district.

2. To support the management of customer service activities and staff competence so as to optimize and sustain sales performance and customer satisfaction.

3. To effectively manage within allocated budget in order to affect a profitable performance for the district.

4. To manage payroll budgets in line with performance.

5. To ensure that all stores adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures.

6. To clearly and concisely communicate business and district and store objectives to SMs so that they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to targets.

7. To achieve stock control targets in line with company guidelines to prevent financial loss.

8. To liaise with the merchandising team regarding the supply of stock in the district to maximize stock potential.

9. To identify underperforming stores and develop a plan to address and manage issues effectively.

10. To achieve successful Mystery Shop results through the development and training of managers.

11. To collate and provide constructive feedback on VM standards to the business.

12. To ensure that the visual presentation of all stores represents the brand image.

13. To support the delivery of all marketing campaigns.

14. To develop an effective network of communication across the district to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity.

15. To seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions, with the purpose of making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business forward.

16. To identify market trends and make suggestion to improve and enhance product performance to drive brand achievement.

17. To recruit and ensure the full implementation of induction programs for new store managers and monitor ongoing performance needs.

18. To effectively manage the performance and development of Stores managers to drive and maximize the sales performance throughout the region.

19. To plan for succession in the region through the identification of individuals with potential for development and growth.

20. To create a positive environment that results in stable retention and a reduction of sales force turnover.
