Job Description:
A UAE based software development house in Karachi is looking for Senior Networking Engineer for E-Commerce projects.
Candidates with 5+ years of hands on experience of working on the following are encouraged to apply:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Own and manage global cloud infrastructure including AWS.
• Help design, develop and deploy secure cloud infrastructure including AWS for High Availability (HA), Low Latency and Scalability across global data centers.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality, reliability and availability of our infrastructure.
Requirements:
• You are proficient in Linux systems administration and understand all layers of Linux.
• You are experienced in configuring network routing (NAT, TCP/IP), firewalls, VPN and DNS. • You know what is involved in deploying and managing databases.
• You are a shell scripting guru.
• You understand OS-level virtualization well. You have setup and managed virtualized production environments.
Bonus Points:
• Agile software development methodology
• Write automation tools to be consumed by the Product Development teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and work with product development teams to identify, resolve and triage production issues.
• Experience of deploying and maintaining monitoring tools (Nagios, NewRelic, Splunk, etc.)
• Familiar with deployment tools like Chef, Puppet, or rolled your own.
