Job Profile Summary:

The Analyst,Sales Operations takes ownership of all the regular reporting across the sales and client services organization. This involves streamlining existing reports and creating new reports to drive greater efficiency through the organization. The Analyst understands the key performance indicators of a high performing sales organization and supports the sales and client services leadership in providing reports to drive and improve their workflow. The Analyst is an authority all the various systems employed by our Sales Operations and client-facing staff, and owns the commission reporting system. In addition to data analysis and report building, communication, decision making, teamwork, creativity and innovation are all required qualities to perform well in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

-Keep Sales & Client Services reporting up to date on an annual, monthly, weekly, and daily basis with emphasis on both efficiency and accuracy.
-Manage complex commission payment process
-Manage, organize, clean up (LEAN) and improve all existing reports significant to the sales organization
-Act as lead data/reporting analyst for Sales Operations project team. Provide reporting insight and produce required reports or data pulls for projects targeted to enhance the Sales organization.
-Own, produce and lead ad hoc reporting that comes into the Sales Ops organization
-Perform and understand data pulls and analysis from various sources. (Salesforce.com, SQL, etc.)
-Answer reporting, data and workflow questions from stakeholders. Communicate the significance of reports with an understanding of what drives success at SNL
-Work with finance, subscriptions, OE&U, and product operations to sync reporting efforts across departments.
-Proactively identify gaps and errors in reporting and work towards improving those areas.

Skills

-3+ years working in sales operations or financial analytics environment
-Extensive knowledge and proficient in MS Office (Excel) and SQL
-Experience reporting with and administering Salesforce.com (or similar CRM tool)
-Works mainly US daytime hours.
-Strong oral and written communication skills (accent neutrality). Must have an ability to present or discuss an analysis with stakeholders of all levels.
-Outstanding work ethic with a proven record for delivering business value through analytics
-Experience in B2B sales a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of what drives success within a Sales organization
