POSITION SUMMARY: Financial Language Analysts are responsible for translating & editing financial information & text from source language Nordic Language into English. Analysts are also responsible for creating, developing and maintaining the translation memory & terminology databases used for translation of specific finance/accounting-related material. The position will occasionally involve researching company-related information on the Internet and/or through directly contacting companies. PRINCIPAL DUTIES : - Translate financial information & text from company filings, press releases and other documents from Nordic language into English
- Edit/proofread translations to ensure quality and consistency
- Utilize CAT software tools to create, develop and maintain translation memory and terminology databases
- Includes alignment of already-translated materials
- Conduct research via the Internet or company calls as necessary

| Skills Required: |

Specific Skills Proficiency in written English and at least one of the required non-English languages. Fluency in spoken English and one of the required non-English languages encouraged.
Special knowledge, licenses, etc Basic knowledge of accounting and financial subject matter, concepts and terms, in both English and non-English language. Working knowledge of computers and desktop applications. Experience with CAT software tools is encouraged.
Abilities Keen interest in translation and attention to details. Strong prioritization & multi-tasking skills. Positive, proactive, self-directed attitude. Ability to work with minimal supervision. |
