|
SUMMARY Responsible for SNL database administration, including backup and recovery procedures, maintenance, tuning, support, replication
management, optimization, monitoring, security administration, installation and upgrades and research into new database
technologies. Responsible for planning, organizing, and establishing maintenance and direction of the organizations database
environments. Provides technical oversight to other database administrators. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Completes complex and advanced development projects involving application frameworks.
- Completes complex tasks utilizing Visual Management Studio including job, replication and SSIS package creation, modification and maintenance.
- Completes data back-fills.
- Completes other projects and tasks as assigned.
- Completes production and development roll-outs of new schema/objects, DBs, tables, and table changes.
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation for databases, production support and end-users.
- Creates and maintains stored procedures.
- Ensures that databases are backed up properly and completes database restores as required.
- Monitors server performance and corrects as appropriate.
- Optimizes complex query, index, and server functionality
- Resolves permissions issues.
- Troubleshoots problems that arise on high level projects.
