Job Profile Summary
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates content systems and user needs. Participates in system design and architecture to parallel overall business strategies. Uses knowledge of commonly-used relational database concepts, practices, and procedures to provide support for data transformation, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
Job Functions
- Identifies and implements tasks and technical requirements for assigned (group’s) system enhancements. Provides predictive caution if tasks will not be completed on time.
- Work with cross-team resources involved in an assigned project and completes tasks for successful completion of project.
- Creates specifications for each release and enhancement. Works with development staff to develop enhancement in a timely fashion.
- Tests enhancements pre- and post-development to make sure system meets end user needs, meets specifications and is error free. Assures quality control including regularly updating and maintaining procedures.
- Gathers feedback from aligned content groups for future enhancements and ways to increase timeliness, accuracy, relevance, and comprehensiveness. Acts as a liaison between content groups and developers to correct bugs in systems and follows up with end users.
- Provides technical and functional support.
- Provides training and top tier support for clients.
Work Experience:
- Two to four years experience in an analytical capacity preferred.
- Prior corporate finance or investment banking experience a plus.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL or equivalent databases is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of database and corporate structure, systems, products, and services preferred.
- High level understanding of databases and programming.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts required.
- Understanding of product lifecycles, creating specifications, designing mockups preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Ability to interface well with IT staff and other non-technical members of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills required to prioritize work and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to write procedures and documentation.
- Must be highly motivated, aggressive, quick and very detail oriented.
- Must be self-directed to plan and accomplish goals.
- Must be committed to exceptional customer service and support.
- Must possess strong problem analysis and decision-making ability.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
