| Job Description: |
|
The person is responsible to manage whole network here in Karachi-Pakistan and USA and work with full coordination with other Technical staff such as CTO, Cheif System Architect and other development team. Can be able to prioritize the work as per company needs.
Responsibilities:
--Installation, configuration & maintenance of all servers whether they are located in Pakistan or USA like mail servers, virtual server, domain controllers, ISA firewall & proxy servers, also hardware devices like switches, routers, firewalls and modems.
--Configure, troubleshoot & maintain SharePoint Server.System administration of production /ISA servers.
--Perform security audits to ensure compliance.
--Review performance/resource utilization graphs for all production systems and provide recommendations to management for doing capacity planning.
--Perform monitoring of IT infrastructure which includes production servers, network devices, network paths, connectivity, storage, voice quality/paths and take appropriate notification, troubleshooting and follow-up until issue is fixed.
--Keep Mailing infrastructure up and running.
--Ensure Data backup and recovery operations Trouble shooting and updating of hardware and software Creation of IT Security, backup tools and processes Documentation of IT Procedures Provide secure system definition, specification, policies, and procedures development.
--Continuously monitor internet traffic for misuse of bandwidth, chocking, hacking, intrusions & virus attacks or any other possible security holes in the network & services.
--Ensure 24 hours VPN connectivity between all organizational locations including Pakistan and USA.
--Troubleshoot issues related to network (local or internet) & servers (Pakistan & USA) which hinder daily organizational activities promptly.
--Implement solutions including hardware or software to plug security holes.
--Implement, configure & maintain an automatic backup system for all critical data including documents, emails, projects source code, databases etc.
--Implement test & verify disaster recovery plan.
Monitor backup process on daily basis.
--Monitor and control the transfer of data outside the organization via internet as well as removable devices like USB drives, writable CDs/DVDs, hard drives etc.
--Responsible for the management of VOIP infrastructure.
--Continuously evaluate better ISPs available in the market.
