- Perform routine tasks on servers to assure security and stability
- Maintain Live Production Server
- Maintain local Development & QA servers
- Server’s management, maintenance, upgrades, Backups, Troubleshooting
- Provides assistance and expertise to the Desktop Support and Enterprise Applications teams as necessary
- Should be available(on call) during off-hours, weekends and holidays for support
Skills
Working experience of Linux Server (Debian, Centos, Red Hat ) and Windows Server installation, administration, and troubleshooting
- TCP/IP knowledge, confident with networking, switches, routers and firewalls
- Server hardware knowledge - Hosting accounts management (cPanel, WHM)
- Experience with MySQL/MS-SQL database, reports, backups and replication of databases
- Experience of Apache/IIS web server configuration and management
- Experience in scripting in some administrative language (bash shell)
- Experience of installation and management of Subversion (SVN)
- Jboss/Tomcat experience is a plus
- Ability to work in team environment with excellent communication skills
- Must have analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
