1. Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with community based organizations or other civil society groups
  2. Guide and supervise the work of Protection Officers and Legal Aid Mobilizers/ Social Organizers.
  3. Guide and participate in the identification of Vulnerable Families.
  4. Responsible for the arrangement of capacity building  sessions in community and schools
  5. Liaise with concerned department for making arrangement for the Protection capacity building sessions.
  6. Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the programe and the beneficiary involvement strategy of CERD.
  7. Undertake Protection monitoring activities; Monitor interviews and FGD’s in the field. Monitor, analyze and provide reports on the protection conditions for IDPs and other persons of concerns.
  8. Identify protection gaps and interventions.
  9. Organize/actively participate in the Regional and State Protection Working Group
  10. And other relevant meetings; Draft minutes, convene meetings and support the inter-agency ‘collaborative response’ in coordination with UN agencies and NGOs.
  11. Organize/facilitate relevant protection training activities: Organize workshops for government officials, local/Community and leaders as well as for staff and partners in order to build their capacity and encourage affective protection networks.
  12. Advocate with the government and other actors to take appropriate measure to remedy violations and address the protection concerns facing the returnees and IDP’s. Liaise with relevant line ministries and commissions in order to foster partnerships and encourage national interest and ownership in protection of IDP’s, returnees and other persons of concern.
  13. Provide support, guidance and assistance to protection and field staff in all the field offices on protection priorities, issues and concerns.
  14. Perform other duties as may be required.
