Essential Duties and Responsbilities
National Incubation Center (NIC) is one of the largest technology incubators in the region which was established in partnership with National ICT Fund, Mobilink and TeamUp. We are hiring a community manager and looking for someone who is passionate about working with startups, has strong attention to detail, possesses exceptional communication skills and is comfortable working in a very fast paced environment. Develop, establish and retain entrepreneurial community. Responsible for outreach and startup engagement. To develop engagement strategies with startups, analyze and help develop starups tactics that grow startup followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters. The candidate must should have command of best practices and trends in ecosystem, enjoy being creative, and understand how to attract, hunt and sustain startups.Serves as a liaison to university, college, and other third-party resources
Work Experience Requirements
Responsibilities
- 5 or more years of experience in Corporate / Entrepreneurial background is preferred
- Develop and maintain collaboration with partners and ecosystem players including universities, technology companies and investors
- Organize regular workshops, speaker series and events for startups (hackathons, coding workshops etc.)
- Develop initiatives designed to create connections between incubator companies
- Provide a regular report to management regarding the progress of startups and achievement of milestones
- Manage the mentorship assignment process based on industry/startup needs
- Act as the primary Point of Contact for all startups incubated in the NIC
- Help and manage “induction day” to ensure all startups are given proper orientations of all resources available through the incubator
- Manage the startup/mentor meetings and ensure all activity is logged properly
- Contribute regularly to the NIC blog, write engaging content to communicate the value of incubator services to startups
Education Requirements – Skills and Expertise
- Preferable MBA Entrepreneurship
- Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and outreach skills and expertise.
- Must have startup experience, preferably founder or senior leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and practical experience with Lean Startup methods and tools& alternates.
