Install, Configure and support the Converged virtual infrastructure, across Windows and Linux platforms.
Responsible for on-call /on-site coverage of issues related to VMware infrastructure.
Design, Maintain and administer the converged computing including converged hardware, software, applications and all configurations.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, application or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
Candidate shall have previous experience installing, configuring, operating and maintaining hardware and software that uses the Windows operating system within a VMware ESXi production environment.
Familiarity and has worked with vCenter 5.5 or higher is required.
Familiarity with NetApp storage environments is preferred.
Able to demonstrate high initiative and ownership of issues
Able to work at a fast pace and achieve pre-determined goals
Able to make customers feel great about their support experience regardless of the outcome via high level, polished customer and relationship management skills
Responsible supporting infrastructure technology implementations in Technology Support Services
Must be able to act as a leader and set the example both technically as well as with all other employee responsibilities within his/her team
Provide subject matter expertise, advice and consultancy for assigned technology and infrastructure systems
Skills Required:
Vast knowledge in VMware technology with mentioned trainings and Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
- Data Center Administration (DCA)- Cisco knowledge
- VCE Vblock
- VxRack
- VxRail
Administration experience (3-4 Years)
Knowledge of scripting, ability and desire to develop new standards for converged operations.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
Knowledge of computer hardware (VBlock), Storage (vSAN) and software as it relates to WMWare, Vcenter, NSX, Red Hat and Windows operating systems.
