Job Description:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Implementing NT Security on SQL servers and NT servers along with creation of standard folders and shares

· Installing or creating any necessary databases on the database servers and installs all necessary SQL Support procedures

· Installation of new database objects at customer sites and in-house TSG

· Monitoring disk space and memory usage

· Backup in house SQL databases

· Troubleshooting and assisting site with SQL and OS issues

· Troubleshoot SQL Maintenance Jobs and processes

· Quarterly systems and security maintenance

· Troubleshoot database issues that arise during or after implementation

· Assist with server hardware planning and configuration for optimal system performance
 
Skills Required:
 
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Relevant certifications would be preferred

1 to 2 years experience in the following areas-
SQL Server 2000/2005 Database Administration
Database backups and recovery
SQL Server installation and configuration
Windows OS (2000/2003) Troubleshooting
WINDOWS/SQL server performance monitoring
