We are looking for various software developers to join a multinational technology company TV2U Global Ltd. with offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, China and UK, Here are the requirements for this position... Experience:
- Experience (4+) in PHP prgramming. Must have worked on popular MVC PHP frameworks such as Codeignitor, Zend, Symphony or Yii
- Experience (5+) in OOP pracitises. Able to create algorithms and handle test cases
- Experience (4+) in database archtecture and design using UML diragrams. Should know every aspect RDMS that generates robust and optimized database quries
- Expreience (3+) in client scripting languages . Must know HTML5 and able to resovle CSS issues
- Expreience (3+) in constructing responsive web portals. Must be aware of boostrap, foundation or skeleton.
- Expreience (3+) in XML parsing and generation. Must be familiar of SOAP
- Experience (3+ years) writing REST APIs that can be easily consumed by mobile and other thirdparty applications in distributed environment. Must be aware of security challenges and client environment.
- Experience (4+ years) creating reporting tools using graphs, pdf and spread sheet documents
- Eagerness to own design and implementation (Data structures, common enterprise architectures, microservices)
- Must be familiar or web security and authentication challenges
- Must be aware of web optimization techniques, as well as social platforms
- Passion to own code quality, stability and reliability
In this role, you will:
- Work on infrastructure applications that are going to be shared by multiple microservices. These may be consumed by web UI based applications or other backend applications.
- Work on applications that can be used as a showcase of thoughtful design choices and stable/reliable implementation.
- Work across our stack with technologies like Java, Spring, Cassandra, AWS services like SQS, RDS and also Open source technologies.
- Evangelize best practices across teams.
Good to have:
- Excellent skills in data migration and its formats
- Knowledge of cloud based databases
- Big Data understanding is added advantage
- Knowledge of multimedia (audio/video encoding/decoding/playback)
- Deep understanding of video players e.g. HTML5 players, Flash and JSP players
- Knowledge of video, audio and image formats
- Understanding of how multimedia contents are secured i.e. DRM, CA and Encryption
- Strong technology background, ideally including embedded software and platforms related to SmartTV or OTT box
- Knowledge of CDNs and how they are integrated to the portal system
- Deep understanding of transactions and logging
- Reporting skills and user log generations is essential
