Producers of the multi-award winning animated TV Series Burka Avenger, Unicorn Black is a 360 degree multi-media production and tech company that develops and produces amazing original content for all forms of media.Taazi, a product of Unicorn Black, is Pakistan’s first legal music app and website. Taazi is the only digital platform in the country that offers monetization of digital content through its own unique mobile billing system.
Job Purpose
Directs, administers and coordinates the internal and external operational activities of Taazi in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer. The General Manager will be responsible for planning, staffing, leading and controlling all program activities related to Taazi.
General Management
- Establish the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies.
- Directs the development and implementation of procedures and controls, to promote business.
- Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with Unicorn Black’s policies and objectives and ensures their adequate execution.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
- Establish KPI’s to monitor and evaluate the platform’s growth
- Create and maintain key partnerships that add end-user value to the platform.
- Content Acquisition: local and international (i.e. artists, record labels, TV channels etc) including getting various artists onboard
- Overseeing content upload and monitoring (i.e. ensuring all content uploaded is upto the required standard)
- Overseeing all contracts and other content such as contracts with artists, privacy policy, DMCA procedure, User Manual, FAQs etc
- Establishment Customer Relationship Management (CRM)systems for Taazi
- Ensure successful development, implementation and execution of Inbound and Outbound Marketing activities
- Monitoring revenue stream through advertisements on Taazi (by musicians and corporations / individuals)
- Understanding of the current telco market i.e. existing marketing and promotional techniques and revenue generating services and implementing them with respect to Taazi
- Overseeing the entire development and QA cycle and ensuring the site and all its features are fully functional.
- Benchmarks the organization’s current marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices Develops a roadmap for improvements and business case for undertaking necessary changes for growth of the product
- Directs organization-wide efforts to effectively manage and allocate Marketing resources – money and people
- Assesses the organization’s current Marketing capabilities against future Marketing objectives and requirements, and formulates a strategy to build required competencies through internal development and recruitment
- Oversee promotional activities for Taazi
