The ideal candidate will have English to Urdu translation experience, has been published in national or international newspapers/magazines and is a regular reader of at least two newspaper/magazine publications. Passion towards the Urdu language and literature is the primary criterion. He/she should have a basic understanding of blogging and digital journalism. The role demands him/her to be energetic and innovative enough to deliver engaging, well-written and comprehensible translated articles while meeting deadlines.
- Translating articles, news editorials, reports and commentaries
- Proofreading the Urdu copy
- Two year’s practical experience in English-to-Urdu translation for a publication
- Comfortable using InPage software for Urdu typing
