A mid-level accountant with a year or two of practical experience is required to start immediately. He will be working for a friendly small sized practice that is expanding and looking to take on someone who wants to join a growing firm. This role is to assist with management accounts, reports and analysis as well as contributing to project work. His/her duties will include:
- Preparing and finalizing accounts for both Sole Traders and Limited Companies
- Tax returns
- GST returns
- Company secretarial work
Essential Skills and Experience
- 2 to 3 year experience of working in an accountancy practice
- Good team player able to interact at all levels of organisation
- The ability to work under minimal supervision is essential
- Intermediate excel skills
- Degree qualified or part qualified with an interest in obtaining CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- A keen interest in financial services
- Experience using a general ledger and posting journals
