• Perform field inspections and oversee field measurements and data collection.
  • Ensures company resources are used in a cost effective manner.
  • Support and emphasize the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures compliance.
  • Participate and/or lead team that focus on specific problem areas or needs for generating units.
  • Initiates/participate in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Communicate with customers regarding condition of equipment and repair work scope.
  • Coordinate activities with Vendors/Contractors, other divisions and departments.
  • Prepare written reports in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Perform technical duties in area of responsibility.
  • May be required to direct the work activities of others.
  • Recognize problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them.
  • Perform root cause analysis of system and equipment problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications for purchase of replacement parts, vendor repairs and maintenance standards.
  • Identify and implement new or existing repair technology in area of responsibility.
  • Inspects completed work or work in progress to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors at their facilities.
  • Assist in development of annual budget for area of responsibility.

  • BS. Mechanical Engineering degree or 1st Class Boiler Engineering degree or Marine Engineering 1st class or an equivalent qualification in a similar industry from HEC recognized university
