Objective:
Conducts the cash bookkeeping of assigned projects
Responsibilities:
- Works with the software WINPACCS Cash Book
- Prepares fund requests for Field office running expenses and submit to FM in field and/or to Country Office Islamabad
- Responsible for maintaining and disbursing the cash in general
- Prepares all cash and bank vouchers
- Responsible for cash falls
- Prepares cash replenishment in accordance with WHH procedures
- Reviews documents for arithmetical correctness, completeness and signatures
- Checks and books vouchers under supervision of Finance Manager
- Arranges cash and cheque deposits as per requirements
- Keeps cheque books and cash boxes (separated by projects) in the safe when not in use
- Safeguards cash money and cash boxes
- Cashes cheques at the bank to replenish cash boxes
- Need second person along with cashier when visiting bank for any cash transactions above 200,000 PKR.
- Prepares and initiates bank transfers based upon Finance Department instructions and approved Bank Transfer Requests
- Ensures that all cash / bank vouchers are settled properly and in time
- Closes bank and cash books with proper documentation and exports the data for booking in WINPACCS.
- Assists the accountant in the booking process and responds to any requests or clarification he/she may have
- Coordinates the handover of financial documents to the Finance Department in Islamabad and responds to any requests or clarifications they may have
- Arranges monthly cash reconciliation of each project
- Coordinates with Logistics Department in regard to supporting documents
- Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time
- Reports to Accountant, Finance Manager and Hyderabad Office/Program Manager as requested
- Any other task assigned by the Head of Finance and Provincial/Field Finance Manager.
Professional Requirments.
Computer Skills: - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excel; accounting softwares
Experience with INGOs is preferable
Good communication skills both verbal and written in English and Urdu (mandatory)
