Job Description:

Major responsibilities of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (GPAF) will be as follows:

1. Develop the overall framework for project Monitoring and Evaluation e.g. annual project reviews, participatory impact assessments, process monitoring, operations monitoring and lessons learned mechanisms;

2. Guide the process for identifying the key performance questions and parameters for monitoring project performance and comparing it to targets;

3. Develop and regularly review the Log Frame Analysis and necessary tools for Monitoring and Evaluation and make adjustments to facilitate objective measurements of indicators;

4. Based on the Annual Work Plan and in particular the program budgets, design the framework for the physical and process monitoring of project activities;

5. Liaise with project management to collect and analyze data on sociology-ecological variables and determine progress achieved under different outputs;

6. Conduct annual socioeconomic monitoring of change in household income and other indicators;

7. Facilitate the Project Advisory Committee meetings, record their minutes and facilitate implementation of the decisions of the meeting in collaboration with field staff and Project Manager;

8. Monitor utilization of project resources including equipment with the view to determining cost effectiveness;

9. Provide technical input in data collection at site level, as well as monitor the process of data collection at those levels;

10. Regularly document lessons learnt on various interventions of the project;

11. Coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities with WWF – Pakistan’s headquarters and perform other emerging Monitoring and Evaluation function;

12. Prepare consolidated progress reports of the project to submit to the donors and other partners;

13. Review monitoring reports, analyze them for impact evaluation and to identify the causes of potential bottlenecks in project implementation;

14. Present results of periodical monitoring status to the Project management and in the PSU

15. Carry out any other reasonable assignment associated with the aims and objectives of the GPAF Project that may be assigned to the Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation by the senior management.
