This position is primarily responsible to assist in designing training manuals for social mobilization, community organization for behavioural change, street theatre and computer literacy. the conduct of trainings on the same for a group of 12 – 16 people for further implementation. The position is responsible for providing assistance to the Training Coordinator.

In this role, the Assistant Training Coordinator will:

· Exhibit understanding of the development sector and training needs for community organization, mobilization and education.

· Assist in the application of advanced adult learning theories to produce instructor-
led and computer-based training; develop learning-support peripherals

· Participate in and provide leadership to assigned training activities

· Assist the Training Coordinator in development and facilitation of training manuals, presentations, pre and post assessment.

• Assist in the conduct of needs/skill gap analysis to identify training through pre-
test tool

• Provide support to design and develop curriculum/programs utilizing a blended approach and targeted for instructor-led training and computer training.

• Work collaboratively with the team throughout training design, implementation, and evaluation.

• Support training deployment, facilitate training programs, solicit feedback from trainers and team, and evaluate results.

• Maintain confidentiality with regard to training and participant engagement/success.

Requirements:

Education & Training

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in social sciences

· A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar capacity in the development sector

· Prior material development in community organization, social mobilization for behaviour change, street theater and computer literacy

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in building collaborative relationships with team members and key stakeholders

• Experience in designing, developing, implementing and facilitating training for varied adult learner skills/experiences and measuring learning outcomes

• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task

• Excellent oral and strong written communications skills

• Self-motivated and flexible

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Exhibit a wide degree of creativity and critical thinking skills
