Relationships: Reports to Director HR

Responsibilities:

· Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

· Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

  • Employee Relations managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement
  • Performance Management coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
  • Learning & Development providing guidance on development for managers and their teams
  • Recruitment & retention - managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
  • Plan and direct for Training of employee including senior managers, maintain contact with outside resources for training.
  • Policy & procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes
  • In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
  • Working with senior managers, coaching them and advising on all people issues
  • Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills

· Analyze benefits options and cost alternatives for providing employee benefits, recommend benefits program modifications and implement approved benefits modifications.

· Conducting orientation and training programs.

· Liaise with other functional / departmental head so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements.

  • Audit and authenticate all documents related to legal, salary statements and distribution, policies etc.
  • Plan for employee’s performance appraisal; develop tools for appraisal, job evaluation and development.

· Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.

· Serve as a resource for team leaders in handling employee issues and assist them in counseling employees, conducting evaluations, staff training, problem-solving and consensus-building.

· Serve as a resource for all team members by being available and accessible to discuss all human resources related issues.

Professional experience:

· Master’s degree in HR Management or related discipline required

· At least 5+ years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers compensation and conflict resolution.

· Experience working with a diverse workforce.

· Preferable to have experience in two or more of the following areas: human resources management, organizational development/change management, process improvement, compensation, staffing.

Skills

· Superb communication skills.

· Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals

· Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.

· Strong understanding of employment law

· Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records.

· Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines.

· Work well under pressure.

· Accurately follow verbal and written directions from senior management.

· Plan, organize and prioritize work.

· Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior.

· Remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in work environment.

· Study and apply new information, and take initiative.

· Excellent time-management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.

· Work accurately with close attention to detail.

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

· Basic computer skills, including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.

· Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with the workforce.
