|
Duties & Responsibilities - Optimization of Packet Core related nodes like SGSN, GGSN, CG & BG etc.
- Configuration of different interfaces mainly including Gb, Gr, Gn and Gi interfaces
- Audit of configuration related to APNs in SGSN, GGSN & DNS server.
- Should be aware of the working methodology of Deep Packet Inspection, Policy filtering etc.
- BGP configuration for GRX tunnel.
- Reconciliation of the CDR between GPRS / SCP / BOSS in order to ensure revenue.
- Investigation of the alarms escalated by NOC and their rectification
- Hardware Management (verification of redundancy backup & automatic fault healing, query of port/link status on different interfaces) for SGSN & GGSN.
- Monitoring of Gb Links utilization and configuring Gb Link to keep utilization low.
- Monitoring critical KPIs of GPRS service to ensure smooth service and in time diagnosis of any issue in the network including all interfaces i.e. Ga, Gi, Gn, Gr, Gy.
- Launch of GPRS roaming with new roaming partners.
- BGP, Firewall, DNS configuration for RP and Local APN addition.
- Evaluation of system capacity and its utilization
- Identify and take necessary steps to improve the data speed.
- Coordination with the regions to satisfy their queries.
- Inter SGSN KPI monitoring and taking enhanced measures to improve them.
Eligibility Criteria (qualification, experience and skills required): - Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Skills including the use of tools like Wires hark, ethereal, packet tracer.
- Familiar with SQL, Oracle, UNIX and shell scripting.
- Able to plan 3 G implementation in the packet core network.
- Ability to work with deadlines and targets and to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- The ability to work quickly, flexibly, effectively and positively in response to requests made at short notice.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with juggling a range of tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- The ability to contribute to and work effectively within a team environment.
