In this role you will:
- Deliver highly accurate WordPress bespoke theme and plugin builds from a functionality specification and artwork provided by our internal designers.
- Determine the best technical solutions for both internal projects and clients based on your knowledge and experience of web solutions.
- Hand code your PHP, CSS, HTML and Javascript code to our defined coding standards.
- Ability to translate web designs into code from style guides, ability to develop bespoke websites from scratch using provided illustrations.
- Manage your own workload, take personal responsibility for delivering on time and be accountable for your decisions.
- Communicate effectively and responsively with the Project Manager, the rest of development team and clients.
- Display industry expertise and knowledge effectively to clients, and share best practice throughout the team.
Skills and experience that we are looking for:
- Experienced in PHP, HTML, CSS and JS, ideally with considerable experience working with complex WordPress projects
- Experience working with Jquery, bootstrap, CSS animation.
- Responsive design experience.
- Wordpress theme customization and plugin development.
- Ability to create websites and integrations in a fast paced, reliable manner
- Ability to create incredibly smooth front end web experiences for the end user
- Experience with version control systems
- Experience working with third-party APIs like payment, google maps etc.
- Ability to communicate technical information to team members
- Familiarity of on-site SEO
- Familiarity with DNS configurations, CDNs and SSL
