We are now hiring a Junior Category Manager who will be mainly responsible for developing various categories and onboard vendors for an online shopping business and help to boost company’s business growth.
Major tasks to be performed:
- Lead in market research and explore deals of goods and services of different categories
- Negotiate with suppliers/merchants for having deals at lowest price
- Liaison with vendors for quality of services to customers
- Ensure availability of goods offered in deals
- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines
- Represent organization among merchants and suppliers to have trustworthy relationship
- Support in meeting targets by Category Managers, himself, and other BDOs as per the SOPs of business development.
- Keep monitoring on prices and quality of goods/services offered at the portal.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor or Master Degree in a business or e-commerce related area.
- At least 2 to 3 years of Vendor & Category Management experience
- Must know categories for online shopping and relationship with Vendors
- Strong process understanding Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Business Networking
- Inventory Management, Procurement, and Negotiation
- Good communicator & listener
- Flexible and adaptive
- trustworthy and reliable
