3 To 7 Montessori is seeking a dedicated and experienced IGCSE Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students preparing for their International General Certificate of Secondary Education exams. The ideal candidate possesses strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires a fluent English speaker who can interact confidently with students, guiding them through examination techniques and familiarizing them with various question paper formats. The teacher will design lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment that supports academic success and personal growth. Although this position does not involve team management, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the school community to enhance educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive subject knowledge to effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Maintain discipline and manage classroom behavior to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to build rapport with students and encourage active participation.
  • Prepare students for examinations by teaching examination techniques and familiarizing them with question paper formats.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly through tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them improve their performance and confidence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address individual learning challenges and support academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with other educators and school staff to ensure consistent curriculum delivery and student support.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and IGCSE updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other relevant information.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that respects and values diversity among students.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students and accommodate different learning styles.
  • Support extracurricular activities when necessary to contribute to the overall development of students.
