We are looking for a talented video editor to join our growing team as a video editor.
In this role, you’ll help edit podcasts, video sales letters, and youtube videos — turning raw footage into shareable episodes, promo clips, and branded features with viral potential. Your goal will be to create highly engaging, entertaining, visually fresh content that excites and attracts the target audience, and captures the voice and style across a variety of brands, formats, and platforms.
Our perfect candidate is someone who’s adaptable and driven, and excited by the idea of working in a fast-based start-up. You have strong technical skills and excellent creative instincts. You love collaborating with others to develop the best content possible, but you’re also capable of working independently and efficiently.
This role is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Editing a variety of social-first video formats to create best-in-class, creative content — from shareable promotional clips to highly engaging full-length podcasts and Video sales letters.
- Improving the quality of raw footage and editing it where necessary
- Review client footage to pull selects
- Input stock audio, sound design, and effects where necessary
- Execute an effective, creative balance between music/entertainment content and commercial/corporate content
- Actively work on learning new editing techniques and technologies to improve post-production success
- Communicate with Directors to update all revisions
- Thoroughly read editing treatments to complete edits in an accurate and timely manner.
- Speedy turnaround times and meeting deadlines
Qualifications:
- 2+ years creating comparable content for a brand or company, particularly video content
- Excellent video editing skills — experience with Video sales letter content and social-first content is a plus
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere)
- Familiarity with using best practices when storing, saving, and exporting video projects, and an ability to turn around time-sensitive projects in a timely manner
