Job Title: Internal Audit
Duty Station: Head Office, Islamabad
Reporting to: BOD/FOCC
Introduction:
Human Development Foundation (HDF) was founded in 1997 by Pakistani diaspora in North America as a gift to homeland on its 50th anniversary, with a passion to pay back to the communities they belong to. Over past 24 year, HDF has positively impacted lives of 3.4 million fellow countrymen through direct service delivery in the areas of Education & Literacy, Primary Healthcare, Livelihood & Food Security, Sustainable Environment and Disaster Response with its physical footprint in 91 Tehsils of 53 Districts from AJK till Tharparkar.
Position Objective:
Manager Internal Audit will report to finance oversight & compliance Committee of the board on the complete series of assurance activities that takes place within the HDF. Internal Audit is responsible for overseeing internal operating controls, processes, practices and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of finance, Admin, HR, Operational and programs. The internal auditor will take the associated risks into account when recommending the annual internal audit plan.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Internal Audit
1. Develop and implement HDF Quarterly and annual audit plan to be approbved by FOCC.
2. Undertake the approved internal audit plan in line with agreed procedures communicating with the relevant HDF management staff.
3. Develop / agree action plan necessary to implement the audit recommendations with the regions, or the director/ manager of relevant department and submit for approval to FOCC.
4. Perform different audit tasks which include preparation, paperwork, and other associated reports, audit assignments.
5. Present the audit report to the FOCC, highlighting any areas of concern and the ensuing action plan.
6. Ensure, verify the accuracy of different financial situations as they relate to liabilities, assets, expenditures, receipts, and other transactions.
7. Take part in the coordination of external audit assignments and ensure good interactions with the administrators, staff, external auditors and other stakeholders, CEO, including partner’s communities, and vendors and suppliers.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of policies by providing input on short and long-term planning.
9. Reconciles documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy
10. Recommend different methods that could help to enhance and improve control procedures.
Anti-Fraud Policy
1. Review and update the Anti-Fraud Policy as appropriate, ensuring that HDF staff are aware of the policy.
2. Provide advice on Fraud Policy and give support in event of suspected fraud, carrying out investigation as required, and ensure management is reported of any incident in accordance to status requirement.
3. Ensuring that appropriate corrective action is taken to minimize the risk for any occurring in organization through regular audit practices.
Minimum Requirement
Education
Fresh CA/ CA finalist with at least seven years experience.
