The Role: Associate Director, Center of Excellence (Data Operations)

Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 12

The Location: Makati, Philippines

The Team: Center of Excellence Lead is dedicated to building excellence in operations, processes, tools by identifying data-driven, LEAN-based & automation-led efficiencies to improve timeliness turnaround, quality standards & comprehensives of coverage within the cluster.

The Impact:

The recent alignment of similar data assets (domains) within clusters in Content Operations, has resulted in an immediate need to centralize core capabilities to enable scalability/fungibility while also optimizing resource utilization. This role will sit at the center of each cluster, working very closely with cluster and operation leads to orchestrate and deploy scalable solutions, best practices, and frameworks that create value for the overall business. Meeting business demands and ensuring strategic connections with stakeholders will be a key success measure for the leader. If you have a good understanding/exposure of automation solutions, reporting frameworks, workflow designs, and have experience in deploying medium/large scale complicated, time-critical and client impacting solutions, this role might just be for you.

What’s in it for you:

The Lead is expected to engage across multiple data domains, initiatives and data assets within the Data Operations function. This role will have dotted dual reporting to enhance the benefits that can be realized for Domains and is expected to develop, implement and champion the S&P Global Market Intelligence’s initiatives involving data assets, workflow and technology capabilities critical for our customers in making effective decisions across multiple segments.

As we continue to evolve Data deliverables for our client’s, this role will have an opportunity to not only deliver on client first initiatives by evolving our datasets but also transform the way we run our operations. To that end, this role will refine value streams, integrate synchronous datasets and leverage synergies, enabling us to manage our internal operations more efficiently and maximize value for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve & standardize the business processes & workflows through scalable & agile operational excellence approach, process improvement solutions across data operations cluster

  • Spotlight the efficiency improvement opportunities through process-, data-mining techniques & implement robust solutions through connecting strategic data/content objectives to cluster-specific initiatives 

  • Lead & partner the evolving mechanisms, transformation program to enrich the data offering, operational standards while collaborating with external vendors, data transformation, technology, and data management teams 

  • Ensures harmonization of best practices of coverage standardization & comprehensiveness, quality measurement, vendor contracts, reporting & analytics within a cluster.

  • Partner with vertical Ops head to standardize the resource management, productivity measurement, quality control & governance approaches 

  • Proactively collaborate with VMO Lead & other COE Leads to implement & accomplish OpsTech Collaboration goals & drive the culture of “connectedness” across domain/clusters.

  • Act as ‘go-to’ person for leading, coordinating project management & governance; working closely with the Ops Leads to define the roadmap/contours of the exact responsibilities/accountabilities in order to drive max business value.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Functional knowledge & thorough inter-connect ability understanding of current processes, datasets, workflow, tools & applications, automation solutions, reporting platforms, third-party vendors.

  • Ability to lead independently in undirected situations and to identify creative solutions of unexpected challenges.

  • Great ability to collaborate with cross-functional, global stakeholders & to influence decision making by diving deep into data trends, employee behaviors.

  • Ability to challenge status quo and drive change. Actively run POCs on new approaches/solutions around scalable automation/reporting/quality initiatives and be able to implement at the cluster level.

  • Managed operations for couple of datasets over two years and more and have understanding on overall Domain linkages and deliverables.

  • Having experience on core projects being deployed for Domain(s) aided with Lean/Automation experience will be a desired requirement.
