Business Development Officer

AAN intends to hire a Business Development Officer for its Projects & Partnerships Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for portfolio development of AAN Associates and will report directly to Coordinator PPD Unit and in the absence of him/her; to the Managing Director. The officer will support CPPD in all portfolio development functions comprising search of business opportunities, bid development and follow-up, communication and visibility (website, profiles, social media and others), partnerships and networking, staff management and development.

Job Description:

Review/shortlisting of business opportunities, working with the relevant team/consultants to develop EOIs, business proposals, participate in pre-bid meetings, submission and follow-up with potential clients, organizing presentations and assist/lead on client negotiations (pre-post contract);
Assist/lead in assessment in identification of clients, associates/partners, consultants and field data collection team, negotiations/association management, and roster management of clients/partners/consultants/field data collection teams;
Assist/lead projects or assignments delivery through the complete cycle - design, field planning and implementation, coordination with team and clients, trouble shooting, field data management, data analysis, reporting and closure;
Assist/lead in sampling calculations, coding of field data instruments, data entry and management (supervision), data verification/validation, data analysis and reporting;
Lead the profiling initiatives of AAN Associates - regular up-dation/revamping of AAN Associates’ profile, website re-design and up-dation, periodic publications – newsletter, e-communication and others;
Participate/represent AAN Associates in the industry events, organize and invite associates/partners and clients to AAN Associates events (including celebratory events);
Identification of potential partners (academia, consulting entities, think tanks, NGOs and others in priority countries). Work as a team member to undertake whatever is necessary to complete high quality and competitive project designs and proposals.
Represent the organization where required.
