Objective 1
Effective implementation of program activities
Tasks & responsibilities
· Define program implementation modalities (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.)
· Define overall CMAM implementation plan in collaboration with UC personnel to ensure the full package is planned.
· Plan and deliver trainings with support capacity building team on CMAM and IYCF to external stakeholders ( PPHI, INGO and NGOs) as well as internally (other DoH departments, nutrition staff)
· Ensure sound monitoring of program activities.
· Ensure that logistics and administrative arrangements are made timely with the concerned departments In collaboration with UNICEF, and Administration, responsible for Nutrition program.
· Ensure provision of equipment, materials, supplies and drugs as necessary
· Assess the needs of identified locations with local authorities and health personnel (HR, material/training needs, etc.)
· Ensure timely submission of all reports from Nutrition department respectively Culster and UNICEF.
· Ensure the implementation of activities defined by the Program Manager in coordination with the Logistics and Administration departments
· Develop plan of work for OTP, SC and IYCF activities according to the expected progress of the project
· Evaluate and update program needs (HR, financing, logistics)
· Liaise with concerned government authorities and ensure the programme strategy, objectives and activities are understood and agreed and appropriate communication channel is in place
· Provide advanced word processing support by creating complex spreadsheets, maintaining databases and creating high quality reports, presentations, and other documents
· Involve in the preparation of key IYCF and health messages in reference to the existing health and nutrition education materials
· Organize monthly meetings with the team and report the outcome to the head of the programme along with proposed action plan
· Supervising treatment and progress of patients
· Ensuring IYCF education is disseminated to the target beneficiaries
· Ensuring adherence to and respect of current protocols
· Analysing nutrition situation and prevailing trends
· Compiling statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities
· Document lessons learned and best practices at the program/District level
· Supervise the daily and monthly reporting submitted by field the teams
· Provide technical support to IYCF, OTP, SC team when required
Objective 2
Team Management
Tasks & responsibilities
· Oversee all staff for the nutrition project including regular performance evaluations, management, general well-being, job descriptions, work schedules, discipline, etc. in co-ordination with UNICEF and DOH and in accordance with ACF International and MOH HR policies and guidelines.
· Provide technical support to staff and promote learning based on project objectives and activities and ensure documentation and sharing of learning with other sectors and programs.
· Ensure that staff responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, with performance objectives set against work plans and regularly monitored.
· Adhere to and ensure Security Protocols are followed by Nutrition teams both when in Office and field areas as per stunting project.
· Conduct training need assessment will support of CB team and identify training needs, and supervise the technical training of national nutrition staff members and Coordinate with ACF international Org.
Objective 3
Representation and coordination
Tasks & responsibilities
· Development of network with other actors in the area as well as community leaders/representatives
· Represent ACF nutrition programs when and if necessary vis-a-vis donors during their field visits
· Identify structures where stakeholders are willing and motivated to integrate Stunting Project into the health system.
· Ensure communication and coordination between the SC,OTP, and out reach teamin the frame of a Stunting approach
Objective 4
Lead planning activities in the Base and participate in strategic planning
Tasks & responsibilities
· Develop planning documents (Scope documents, DIP budgets, forecast, proposals etc), regular revision of those and As per future requirement of the project
· Increase Coordination with ACF as to be ensured integration with WASH through integrated assessment, design, implementation and surveillance (including geographic, household, and individual targeting utilizing integrated indicators).
· Mainstreaming gender, protection and DRR in project/program activities.
· Contribute to agency contingency planning for possible Nutrition emergency response if required.
· Plan and coordinate the activities closely with health authorities to ensure smooth integration of the Nutrition activities into the health system through the health system strengthening approach.
Objective 5
Nutrition supplies, equipments and stock management
Tasks & responsibilities
· Moniter stocks physically at BHU level, check for expiry date, quality and quantity
· Checking that all the supplies are listed in the stock register, bin cards are visible.
· Participate in the follow-up of supplies consumption and orders
· Ensuring that stock levels are sufficient for the functioning of SC and OTP (weekly, monthly or quarterly)
· Make monthly physical inventory of all nutrition supplies
· Raising relevant requests for supplies and stock well prior in time to prevent exhaustion of stocks and supplies for interventions.
