Objective 1
Develop overall positioning and Agriculture strategy for the project
Tasks & responsibilities
· To plan, prepare and, where needed, directly support or execute technical assessments to inform the project, positioning in Agriculture and strategies
· To lead on the development of a comprehensive agriculture strategy and Program Implementation Strategy
· To ensure that there is harmonization and synergies with Accelerated Action Plan for Government of Sindh.
Objective 2
To contribute in Programme Development for Agriculture and food security related interventions
Tasks & responsibilities
· To lead assessment and guide Field teams in identifying agriculture related needs, gaps, priority areas and appropriate interventions in project specific locations.
· To work with field teams, and Grants team in developing any modification requests. when possible, to ensure integration of programs with other departments.

Objective 3
Technical support to field teams as and when required
Tasks & responsibilities
· Advise and support the field teams in implementing high-quality programs which adhere to governmental and organizational rules and guidelines.
· Provide technical back stopping and address any challenge with regards to program implementation which include selection of suitable agro climatic seed varieties, ensure adherence to seasonality of crop cultivation.
· Plan, prepare and, where needed, directly support or execute technical assessments (taking in to account integrated Nutritional Framework approach) and ensure reports timely submitted to line management.
· To support in creation of a pool of master trainers on Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture, Climate resilient agriculture, kitchen gardening, fish paddy culture and a forestation.
· 50% Field Visits
Objective 4
To ensure information storage and reporting of all Agriculture related activities related to project.
· To ensure that achievements and lessons learned from the Programme are captured in a way that they can be capitalized for future programming;
· To continuously compile and improve mission technical documentation (reports, evaluations, meeting minutes, guidelines, case studies) and proactively disseminate to the field staff, and relevant departments
· To submit all required and requested reports and adhoc updates on time including those for partner/donor;
Objective 4
Represent and promote project and related government agenda
Tasks & responsibilities
· Represent program within national co-ordination groups and actively seek out high-level groups in which to advocate for EU PINS ER3 and its beneficiaries.’
· Represent program at agriculture forums as required/requested by the CD.
· As necessary, to liaise with donor technical staff in relations to program programming for Agriculture

QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
· 5 years of previous experience specifically in Agriculture preferably with in the context of Sindh
· Significant experience with INGOs in recovery and complex emergencies. Previous experience with partnerships and alliances an asset.
· Proven management and coordination skills (HR, projects, and stress management).
· Proven ability to translate analysis and evaluation into operational planning and strategy.
· Experience with evaluations and monitoring as well as PCM.
· Experience with donor communications.
· Advanced knowledge of donors’ guidelines and procedures
· Ability to work in a mainstreamed manner and analyze/capitalize institutionalized information.
· Good diplomatic and negotiation skills
· Disciplined and able to work and arrive at decisions autonomously and with minimal guidance.
· Fluent in English (professional English).
· Excellent drafting and written skills.
