Principal Software Engineer

We are looking for a qualified Principal Software Engineer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for building the ‘client-side’ of our web applications. You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain developed code
Optimize deployment pipelines for python based projects
Be a strong team player and work well within a diverse, cross-functional team
Suggest and implement project architecture fulfilling the requirements
Regularly attending team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues
Assign the tasks to team members
Conduct code reviews
Developing application codes and unit tests
Ensuring high performance of applications and providing support
Providing training to other engineers

Requirements

At least 5+ years of hands-on web development experience
Experience in Angular (v2 Onwards) or React JS. TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with RestFul API is a must
Proficiency with python and related web frameworks specifically django
Strong working experience of supporting Linux/Unix, Docker, Containers., CI/CD best practices
Experience working and integrating front-end applications with RESTful Middle-Tier Application
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
Strong analytical skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong interpretation skills, including the ability to understand business requirements
Must have worked on managing the code on any repositories i.e Github, Bitbucket, etc.
Good knowledge of CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and web design principles
An understanding of core web application design patterns with proven experience in software development methodologies
Committed to sound testing, best practices, and documentation
The ability to multitask
