Senior Manager School Development will have the overall responsibility to lead the school’s development and repositioning exercise in the region.
He/she will be responsible for supporting the regional management team in programme planning, proposals development for school up gradation; extension/expansion; and development and implementing quality assurance and school evaluation across the region.
He/she will work in close coordination with the Central Office school development section regarding examination board affiliation and school registration
His/her responsibilities will include development and revision of standards and benchmarks for schools and hostels, frameworks for school development, and evaluation mechanisms for schools and hostels
Facilitate the General Manager to conduct situation analysis for school extension, development and rationalization
Work closely with capital projects section to develop design briefs for schools to be constructed. This may include developing programme briefs, providing standards and advising on facilities to be created for specific academic Programmes
Monitor implementation of school policies in all the schools across the region. Conduct orientation sessions on policies for school heads and teachers
Work in close coordination with HR to ensure effective implementation of performance appraisal of teachers and roll out of performance bonus.

Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES,P) is a network of educational institutions that combines the operation of 159 schools and 5 hostels with the management of programmes to enhance the quality of teachers, academic resources and learning environments in Pakistan through community partnerships and long-term interventions. It is one of the largest third-sector networks of educational institutions in Pakistan and part of an international network of over 200 schools spread in 8 countries of the world under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers. In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls. Through these efforts, AKES,Pis continuing to play a critical role in women’s development inthe region. In the Southern Region, AKES,P operates four schools in Karachi,three in Hyderabad and rural Sindh and one in Hafizabad,Punjab, with over 8,900 students. All AKES,P schools follow theNational Curriculum but place special emphasis on the teachingof English, Mathematics, Science and the increasing use ofInformation and Communication Technologies (ICT).
