We’re looking for a reliable and efficient Full-Stack Developer with some DevOps skills to join our remote team to primarily to help us build and maintain a multivendor art platform, along with contributing to other exciting projects. This is a long-term, stable contract with a focus on high-quality, consistent and evolving work.

What You’ll Do

Work on projects built with:

React.js, Node.js, MongoDB
REST API integrations
Hosted on DigitalOcean, using GitHub
Build and optimize new features (dashboards, payments, new features, etc.)
Fix bugs, improve performance, and maintain system security
Communicate regularly and proactively with a startup team
Occasionally respond to critical issues during standby hours

You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe coding practices
- Preventing common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, injection, auth bypass)
- Managing environment variables and secrets securely
Ensure server-level security (e.g., file permissions, SSL setup, brute-force protection)
API and application integrations
Database management. Bonus if you’ve worked with payment systems, file upload security, or fraud prevention
Deployment and maintenance
UI/UX sensitivity (you care about making things clean and usable)

Deliver weekly reports summarizing completed work, challenges faced, and next steps

You will be responsible for how the products looks and feels, as well as ensuring its functionality and security.

Work Structure 30 (+10)

30 hours/week of focused, tracked development work
- 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday
- Time tracked via Hubstaff
+10 hours/week of paid standby availability
- You're not working during standby time unless there's an emergency (e.g., serious bugs, downtime, etc.)
- Standby hours are fully paid, regardless of whether any emergencies occur. If an issue arises, you're expected to respond promptly and log time worked, up to 10 hours per week total.
- The better your code, the fewer emergencies, and the more free time and peace of mind you'll enjoy.

You Should Have

Advanced experience and skills with React.js, Node.js, MongoDB
Git/GitHub proficiency and ability to manage code responsibly
Experience with CI/CD (basic GitHub Actions, deployment scripts, testing before deploy)
DevOps basics (Nginx, firewalls, log monitoring, performance tuning)

Knowledge server management (DigitalOcean, Linux)
Ability to quality test your own code and think about edge cases
Self-starter attitude. Someone who solves problems, not just builds what they’re told
English proficiency and good communication skills
