a. The Chief Flight Instructors (CFI) shall work under the manager and will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the flying training organization.

b. The flying training organization and flight instructor will work under the supervision and guidance of CFI.

c. CFI shall be responsible for the safe conduct of all air operations.

d. CFI shall be responsible for the maintenance of flying proficiency, standards and discipline of the Flying Instructors. He would ensure that common standards are applied to all pilots to the satisfaction of CAA. Instructors will be deputed for flying appropriately by the CFI.

e. CFI shall ensure that Authorization book is duly filled by the flying instructors in all respects on completion of duty, every day.

f. CFI shall be responsible for strict observance and maintenance of air discipline himself and by the trainees / instructors while on flying missions.

g. CFI shall be responsible to ensure that all flying activities including solo flight shall be regulated in accordance with the CAA rules and no unauthorized person shall act as an instructor under any circumstances.

h. CFI will prepare daily schedule of flights and allocate appropriate aircraft for flying by trainee or instructors as per CAA rules and regulation where ever applicable.

i. CFI will be responsible for establishment and supervision of method of record keeping for licenses, rating endorsement, and renewal dates, flights and duty time record of all concerned.

j. He would conduct all tests and check flights whenever assigned by competent authority.
