Our textile manufacturing and exporting company located in Karachi's SITE area is seeking to hire a skilled and motivated “Tax Officer” relevant experience, for an immediate full-time position.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly Sales Tax returns, including all annexures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Handle suppliers' Withholding Tax (WHT) deductions, including proficient PSID preparation on FBR portals.
Filing of quarterly returns for WHT deductions and deposits, maintaining thorough records.
Collect and reconcile audit data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with Tax Consultants and internal teams to streamline tax-related processes.
Stay updated on tax regulations and industry changes, adapting strategies accordingly.
Assist in resolving tax-related queries and concerns.
Reconcile data for WHT and other external audits
Work closely with the tax consultant to prepare timely responses to tax notices.

Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in handling tax-related responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, specifically regardiing Sales Tax and Withholding Tax.
Proficiency in PSID preparation on FBR portals and filing Sales tax returns with annexures.
Experience in preparing and filing quarterly returns for WHT deductions and deposits.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks and deadlines.
Dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Familiarity with Tally ERP (or similar bookkeeping software).
