Senior System Administrator

Ascertia is looking for a Senior System Administrator.

He will be responsible to work as part of a bigger team and will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Setup a Microsoft Hyper V environment leveraging existing design documentation and using the required technologies (System Center VMM, domain controller).
• Apply the required configuration in order to provision the required VMs on the target zones (around 50 VMs required).
• Perform security hardening of the whole Microsoft environment setup using the published benchmarks related to Windows server/workstation/Domain controller security.
• Deploy Microsoft tools to monitor the environment that was setup. We are targeting the usage of Microsoft System Center tools for this purpose (SCOM, SCCM, SCSM). Develop a dashboard using these tools.
• Document the configuration and operations documentation related to the deployed setup.

Skills Required:

• Certified IT professional with minimum 7 years’ experience in Microsoft System Administration
• Strong understanding of security subject matter in relation to configuration and hardening a Microsoft infrastructure, experienced in running vulnerability assessment tools and in performing related hardening tasks (domain configuration security configuration, group policies.
• Strong understanding and experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools with minimum 2 years’ experience in tools such as Service Now
• Hands on experience with Microsoft System Centre components is needed with focus on the Service Manager (SCSM)
• Strong understanding in the ITIL framework (ITIL certificate is a plus)
• Led ITIL and ITSM process development including the definition and implementation of Incident,Problem, Change and Configuration Management
• Strong technical background in IT Operations/Infrastructure/ Support and in related components such as LDAP, DNS, SSL or other such technologies.
• Fair exposure to Web Technologies (XML, HTML, Web Servers, Web Services, etc)
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation by paying attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English

Knowledge/Experience in any of the following will be a big plus:

• Domain knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) products
• Knowledge and hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, experience of AWS is also an advantage.
