Team Leader - PHP / Javascript Expert

The main purpose of this role is to lead a team of Software Engineers, delivering business critical projects whilst maintaining high morale, managing the day to day activities in an efficient and professional manner and ensuring all team targets are met as advised by management.

Responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Expertise in PHP and
Experience/Knowledge of MEAN Stack
BSc degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
In depth knowledge of LAMP, NodeJS, ExpressJS.
Experience implementing applications using Angular or React or Vue
Experience creating front end applications using HTML5, LESS/SASS
Experience with modern frameworks and design patterns, minimum one-year experience with Fullstack paradigm
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Deploy new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment.
Another duty is to make modules ready for production, which entails moving them according to specific procedures and documenting knowledge transfer.
Experience of managing or interacting with dedicated servers through SSH , SFTP and knowledge of Ubuntu OS
