Technical Lead (Principal Software Engineer)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated staff software development engineer to join our innovative startup. You would be part of a multi-disciplinary team chartered to build scalable distributed solutions to solve the most challenging security problems.

Responsibilities:

Work on Elastica’s SaaS app discovery and risk evaluation platform. While you would be playing a leading role in implementing the front end of the application, you are required to work on the server side APIs of the platform.

Lead the effort to scale the solution for handling large amount of data processing on front end while keeping it performant. Enhance the UI and use cutting edge web end technologies to scale the product. Involve in designing and developing product features at individual and team levels. Address and fix bugs and issues in timely manner and review code of other developers. Write unit test cases and execute them on regular basis.

Qualifications:

-BS required, MS preferred in Computer Science or related discipline

-5+ years of experience as lead/staff software engineer; demonstrated success developing a variety of server side software systems in open source environments while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks.

-Professional coding experience required in Javascript, jQuery, Angular JS, Python and/or equivalent web server side language.

-Hands on experience with web servers, MongoDB, MySQL, API frameworks and related technologies.

-Must be proficient in version control such as Git, unit test case frameworks, collaboration and task management tools.

-Must have managed a small or large team technically.

-Good at problem solving, architecture, design and algorithms; must be a good team player.
