The Resident Medical Officer will provide first-line medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department and patients admitted to Azam Town General Hospital. Responsibilities will include patient assessment, investigation, treatment, referral/transfer and discharge of patients. The Resident Medical Officer will maintain close work-related relationships with Department Heads, the Director of Post-Graduate Training, the Director of Medical Services, Medical Administration, Medical Specialists, all Medical Officers and Nurses, Hospital and Local Health District staff and other external service providers.The Resident Medical Officer will promote positive relationships between professional groups and support a cooperative and harmonious multidisciplinary working environment.The Resident Medical Officer will promote a positive image of the Local Health District at all times.There is no requirement to supervise staff, however, the incumbent may provide limited oversight of medical students attached to the Department.
