• Undertake intensive tours within his area in order to establish personal contacts with progressive farmers and the potential loanee/ farmers. He has to identify genuine & prompt-to-pay farmers, who are active, honest and keen to improve their agricultural production.
  • Maintain liaison with Lamberdars (Heads of villages), Revenue Authorities (Patwari / Tapedar / Tehsildar/ Mukhtiarkar) and Nazims (Local / Union Council/Taluka /District) for better relationship with them, which will obviously help to encash at the time of recovery of agricultural financing, extended in particular area.
  • Ensure availability of loan application forms to the prospective borrowers in their villages, through Post Office/ Mosque Pesh-Imam/UC Nazims/ Pesticides & Fertilizers dealers and guide the applicants in the completion of application forms and other formalities.
  • Processing of Agri-Financing Proposals of his own Branch/ area Branches in the light of Policy & Procedures incorporated in the Manual.
  • Verify and promptly submit his recommendations on the loan applications which are received in the branches and referred to him for report.
  • Spot investigation of applicant(s) credentials & preparation of Farm/Field/ Business Visit Report.
  • Ascertain the status of security offered for the loan by the intending borrowers, nature and state of any previous encumbrances on it or existing indebtedness of borrower.
  • Provide technical assistance to the farmers in the proper utilization of funds, adoption of improved farming practices including mixed farming and use of better yielding inputs.
  • Assist farmers in procurement of supplies of Agricultural inputs from recognized dealers and to derivate them for proper care of their crop to adopt various plant protection measures including spray of insecticides etc, at regular intervals as may be necessary.
  • Maintain post-disbursement contact with the borrowers, identify suitable marketing channels for the farm produce of his area, and offer all possible assistance/advice to the borrowers to market the produce with special institutions and Government Agencies, so that the growers get a better price.
  • Educate borrowers in better use of credit and to clearly demonstrate to them the utility of information collected through Research studies in maximizing return on borrowed funds.
  • Ensure timely recovery of loans at the time of harvesting and marketing of the crop through constant follow-up by keeping close liaison with the farmers and the buyers of the crop.

  • Periodical visits in the field for inspection of crops/ asset financed by the Bank.

  • Guide the borrowers in matters relating to production, marketing, maintenance of farm records, and management of farmland.
  • Submit monthly progress report about his work including condition of the crops to the Branch Manager and Head Agri: Business Division, enumerating the difficulties or problems encountered, if any.  Agri Business Division shall circulate the report of Zonal Office / PO.
  • Achievement of agri finance disbursement & recovery targets allocated by Agri Business Head.
