Legal Responsibilities

- Group documents and assemble data as directed

- Cross-reference copied documents with originals to ensure accuracy

- Screen and retrieve electronic documents from a variety of sources

- Carry out word processing, filing and faxing

- Client follow-up and appointment scheduling

- Maintain an organization system for e-documents and file

- Assemble documents for photocopying/scannin

- Preserve computer database input and retrieval

- Work on correspondence and memorandum

- Ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title documents

- Assisting with real estate closings.

- Developing, monitoring, and updating closing checklists

Requirements

Strong attention to detail

- Ability to communicate professionally

- Good command of the English language

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Drafting and reviewing legal documents

- Familiarity with legal terminology

- Command of legal research

- Familiarity with using the internet for research tasks

- Tracking dates and maintaining calendars

- Sound computer skills, experience using Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Law firm and regulatory experience preferred

- Prior project management experience preferred

- Prior experience as paralegal or legal assistant is preferred

- Advanced degree preferred

- Able to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules

- Demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced environment successfully
