Technical Project Manager

IT Project Manager will be responsible for successful planning, initiation, execution, monitoring and closure of variety of IT related projects across the enterprise. He or she will be instrumental in achieving and exceeding business objectives, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with project stakeholders and ensure projects are well documented, prioritized and executed. Must be well organized, detail-oriented and work as a liaison between clients (USA), and local teams.

Responsibilities:

Following responsibilities are essential functions for this job. Other major and minor duties may be assigned that are not noted below.

Manage critical day-to-day project fundamentals including: project objectives, scope, planning, scheduling, resourcing, reporting dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement.
Document project charters, roles and responsibilities, tasks and define measures of success.
Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for the clients and other status reports as needed/requested.
Provide leadership, vision and direction to project teams and business partners and help solve problems and implement changes.
Identifying and specifying the critical activities of the project and then equally delegating the roles to each member of the team.
Manages the processing of incoming requests to the Service Desk and ensures courteous, timely and effective resolution of end-user issues.
Develops and enforces request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
Assesses need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) based on request trends and makes recommendations.
Any and all other requests as directed from management or major business areas.
Get the client to commit to a base schedule and drive both the client and the internal team to meet timetable.
Proactively assesses risks, develop innovative approaches and risk mitigation strategies
Negotiate project timetable with and gain client’s commitment and drive both the client and internal team(s) to meet project timeline.
Assist in continuous process improvement of Project Management Office.
Provide feedback to group managers regarding the work performance of project team members.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or technology related field
3+ years of project management experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies with practical experience
Strong analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Superior interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills
Ability to multitask, work on multiple projects simultaneously under strict timeline
Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations
Knowledge and interest in the professional practices regarding requirements definition and management
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Working knowledge of Project Management tools
