Program Officer

About the role:

As Program Officer, you will report to the Senior Manager Programs and will be responsible for supporting with program management and ensure implementation and execution of project activities within PSI/Pakistan. S/he will be responsible in the formulation, management and evaluation of program activities relating to the Project.

What you’ll do:

·         Assist the Senior Manager Programs with implementing and maintaining program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives

·          Revisit program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement in order to maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance

·         Closely Work with Senior Manager Program to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department

·         Assist the Senior Manager Programs in providing technical support to governments and in developing and implementing effective Family Planning/Reproductive Health programs in partnerships with government entities and donors

·          Contribute to the writing of programmatic monthly, quarterly and annual reports, work plans, and other documents as needed

·         Assist in the project coordination and arrange for monthly performance review and combined quarterly performance review meetings with sub-awards (if any) and prepare minutes/reports

·         Maintain all program documentation systematically - Create and maintain filing systems, classifying, and tracking project specific documentation and design innovative ways to manage knowledge and information tracking needs, including compilation of selected metrics

·         Ensure Data is entered monthly in PSIs online global health impact platforms.

·         Maintain all programs documentation systematically on PSI’s information Hub

·         Coordination with sector experts and stakeholders for monthly/quarterly meetings and workshops

·         Developing workshop agendas and reports after successful implementation of workshops

·         Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders

·         Assist the Senior Manager Programs in collaborating with project technical staff to strengthen programmatic capacities of Department of Health and other counterparts, including local NGO partners

·         Support the Senior Manager Programs in the technical design of the program’s strategies and activities along with its implement in all districts.

·         Assess and assist the Senior Manager Programs in FP/RH capacity building approaches in the private sector

·         Manage and monitor program’s digital assets (program related content with digital and marketing team) such as website, app and social media.

·         Support the Senior Manager Programs wherever required for the project.

·         Represent PSI at conferences, if required and engage with private and public sector stakeholders as and when required

·         Any other work-related task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Required Skills and Experience (This includes previous experience and soft skills)

·         Minimum Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field- MBA or Masters in Public Health will be a plus.

·         At least 1-3 years’ experience in related fields- development sector experience would be a plus.

·         Familiarity and compliance with FCDO/USAID regulations will be preferred.

·         Familiarity with data analysis.

·         Coordination and management of any working group will be an added advantage.

·         Strong coordination skills.

·         Ability to meet deadlines for assigned tasks.

·         Availability to frequently travel across Pakistan.

·         Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary and international team.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently.

·         Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn and skills in knowledge transfer.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication.
